Do you think the R&S Site is a good example of the Strong vs the Weak?
For all of us who have been here for awhile with varying opinions and beliefs or none on GOD and religions do you think that it shows strength in people that can agree to dis-agree, that can take challenges and issues and confront them head on and stand up for what they believe without hurting or insulting someone?
In the movie PLATOON there is one part where Sgt Barnes attends to one of his men who got shot and the guy was screaming and he put his hands over his mouth and said *Take the Pain*! and it calmed they guy down
So do you think the weak in body mind and spirit will always loose out to the ones that are strong in mind, body and spirit no matter what they believe?
Hi, Crimmson, i remember disagreeing with You a lot, but this time You hit the nail on the head. Over the long haul, this kind of steadfastness (to whatever belief or non) cannot be faked, as She-Ra seems to imply. And Andymcj submits his own experience with pain as proof You are wrong, but my personal experience with pain is that sometimes “taking it” is the only option.
I have hung in here a long time, and that benefits me. However it would be a good idea for all of us to remember that there are different degrees of maturity in spirit, and many of the blunders here are from well-meaning people who have not yet made a lot of spiritual progress — but they might, if we don’t chase them away!.
Frankly i’m not sure the mean-spirited always lose HERE, but certainly they lose a chance in life to be happy.
