Does my school have the right to make me participate in christian worship services?

Now I am no devil-worshiper or anything like that. I was just wondering if it was ok for my school to force me to participate in christian worship services? Now this isnt for assembly, BUT FOR CLASS!! And we arent even officially a christian school. Yet I am required to take three religious education courses; lo and behold they are all christian classes! And in this one i was forced to take this year; they sing songs about twice a week.
Now i am not hating on whatever floats your boat; but my idea of an educational time is not singing off-key in front of my peers. Plus i just don’t feel my teachers or anyone for that matter have the right to force me to sing or even listen to others sing songs that are about a religion or about a personal belief that one may or may not hold. I mean i dunno if i explained all this all that well, but i was wondering what your guys thoughts were on this. Can i be forced to sing or listen to others sing worship songs as a mandatory credit?

If it isn’t officially a Christian school – not in the USA. I’d be writing my congressman or talking to the ACLU. They should not be forcing this on anyone.
