Serial Number Initials
Long shot I know but trying to find the history of a specific M1 Garand rifle, serial number 1540018?
Recently received my M1 Garand from the Civilian Marksmanship Program and I’m try to find out as much history as I can regarding this specific rifle. Info is limited but I found a website site that told me this serial number series was delivered to the Army in Mar/Apr 1943. The initials AP were scratched into the left side of the stock. Needle in a haystack I know but thought I would give it a shot.
