Are the SBS the best and toughest soldiers in the world?
To become a member of the ultra secretive and lesser known of the UK special forces takes a rather special individual, a Royal Marine (most comprehensive training of any main military unit in the world) for 3 years, completion of the SAS selection before they even begin to try out for the SBS and further training before being admitted into this small and very elite unit. It should also be noted that a number of high profile actions that are attributed to the larger SAS but have either been carried out by the SBS or had there involvement.
I read about professional soldiers that joined the French Foreign Legion because other special forces were too soft.
